A2 and BTEC Level Examination Results 2020

Students have, for the first time in our history, received their results electronically at 8 am. During the day students will be meeting their Tutor, for a socially distanced transition meeting, to ensure each individual has an opportunity for a personal conversation about the future.

I want to publicly express the pride I feel in all of our students today. They have dealt with the past 5 months with resilience, positivity and determination. They have continued to apply themselves to their studies and to preparing for the next step in their lives. We share their disappointment in not being able to bring their school career to its conclusion in the way we all expected, and in not having the opportunity to demonstrate all that they have learnt during their Level 3 studies through final examinations.

We are very aware of the anxiety they feel about their grades and how they have been awarded. However, we firmly believe that they have acquired additional skills through this time, by overcoming adversity which will further equip them for future challenges and we are confident that they will each progress to achieve great things in a whole host of different ways.

We have missed having the opportunity as a whole school community to meet together today to share in our students’ success, but we hope to be able to come together later in the year to celebrate all that they have achieved. For now we wish them well, as they step out into the future, be it starting University, apprenticeships or entering the world of work. They go with our love and our blessing, in the certain knowledge that each one has a great deal to give to the world and the capacity to make a positive difference.
