Metrobus Student Discounts

Metrobus and 3 in 1 Cards

Many people will be aware that West Sussex County Council are withdrawing the 3 in 1 Discount card from 31st December 2016. This was a valuable resource to enable students in full time education to obtain half price bus travel. This scheme has been withdrawn by the County Council because they can no longer afford to pay for it.

Metrobus have very recently published details of a new discount scheme for students. This will allow 25% discounts to be obtained, if a student has a key smartcard obtainable from Metrobus. The cards are free and available from the Metrobus Travel Shop at Crawley Bus Station. The new scheme takes effect from 13th December 2016. Proof of full time student status will be needed.
