The Holy Trinity Church of England Secondary School

Revd Nigel Genders – Chief Education Officer of the Church of England – Visits Holy Trinity School for their 50th Anniversary

17th December 2019

We were delighted to welcome The Revd. Nigel Genders to Holy Trinity School for our 50th Anniversary.  Revd Genders is the Chief Education Officer for the Church of England.  It was a privilege to share with him our school vision and to show him how we are putting into practice the Church of England’s Vision for Education which he led on at national level.

Revd Genders spent the day with us, toured the school, met students and school leaders, and spoke at special 50th Anniversary assemblies to all students.

This was followed by a Thanksgiving Service in the evening, held in the school hall, at which many former staff and students from the past 50 years joined those of the present day to give thanks to God for the work of the school and the impact it has had on the lives of so many people over the generations.  The service included a powerful message by Revd Genders.
